As Covid started to make its way into the news cycle, I decided to make my way to Vietnam. This was only a few weeks after New Year’s in 2020 and the idea of a global pandemic didn’t seem real. With my Canon EOS M5 and my “nifty fifty”, I tried branching out with my composition and editing while still learning the ropes of photography. I visited Hanoi and Da Nang for about two weeks - not realizing that the flight home would be one of the last allowed into Korea before the borders shut down.
